Susanne was born about 1755, the daughter of John Santous and Subada Tuyaret. [1]
She married Louis Chauvet Dubreuil on September 19, 1772, in St Louis, New France (today known as St Louis, Missouri), with whom she had the following known children[1]:
Joseph C. Dubreuil, born July 19, 1773, died June 7, 1775, at two years old. (died young)
Marie Adelaide Dubreuil, born January 4, 1775, died, single, Nov 6, 1800, at twenty-five
Marie Felicite Dubreuil, born March 19, 1776; married to James Ceran De St. Vrain, from France, April 30, 1796.
Antoine Chauvet Dubreuill, born October 16, 1778; moved to St. Genevieve, married and lived there for several years, returning to St. Louis in 1826, with his family. He died about 1840, leaving several married daughters.
Susanne Dubreuil, born in 1780, married to Louis Tarteron De Lebeaume, from France, June 8, 1797.
Celeste Dubreuil, born in 1782; was married to Charles Auguste Fremon Delaurier, from France, May 21, 1799.
Louis Chauvet Dubreuil Jr, born about 1785; married in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and died
Eleonore Dubreuil, born 178- ; she married William Tharp, of St. Louis County, ~1810
Clarissa Dubreuil, born in 1790; married first to Edward Hempstead, from Connecticut, on January 13, 1808 - her first husband died Aug. 9, 1817; she then married Louis Detheirs, a Belgian man, in 1818-19. She died on July 7, 1825, at the age of thirty-five years old, leaving some young children by her second husband.
Constance Dubreuil born 1793, married Paul Liguest Chouteau Jr on Feb 11, 1813, as his first wife. She died January 3, 1824, at the age of thirty, leaving three children.
Caroline Dubreuil, born April 6,1795, died in October 1795, at the age of 5 months old. (died young)
Mrs. Louis C. Dubreuil lived 31 years after the passing of her husband, and was able to see all of her adult children marry (aside from Adelaide, who died at the age of 25 as a single woman), and many who had children of their own. [1]
She died on October 25, 1825, at the age of seventy years old. [1]
